Our boat, "Reel Therapy" is a 1999 Jones Brothers Cape Fisherman, Light Tackle edition, is specially designed for fly fishing comfortably in the Northeast's demanding saltwater conditions. She is 20ft long with a 8ft beam. With a leaning post on the bow and a poling deck astern, you will have a stable platform and an excellent angle to fish from. This vessel is an exceptional tool for what we do, just ask anybody thats ever fished from one! Powered by a 150 hp Yamaha Saltwater Series engine, she wastes no time getting you to each hotspot with a smooth,stable ride. The boat is fully rigged with the latest safety equipment,cell phone, VHF radio,as well as wide view sonar, GPS and dual electric motors. We will fish from the Grassy channels of the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers, to Lady Liberty in the Hudson River, and wherever the fish lead us around Sandy Hook.These areas offer you outstanding opportunities to chase after Striped Bass,Bluefish, Weakfish, False Albacore and Bonito! These surprisingly healthy, local waters provide you with hard fighting game fish that are loads of fun on light tackle! Over the last five or so years, our fishing environment has changed drastically for the better and continues to do so, due to conservation practices and cleaner water. We supply you with all the tackle needed and customize your trip to your level of experience and comfort. If you are new to the sport, we encourage you to try saltwater fly fishing and make your fantasy a reality! Fishing day or night from April through December, your trip is designed around the species, tides and weather. Trips include any tackle needed, Thomas & Thomas flyrods with Islander reels or spinning tackle if desired. If bait is desired an extra charge will apply. Dress appropriately for the weather, and wear polarized sunglasses. White soled shoes or boots are required. The deck of the boat marks easily and is very hard to clean. A cooler is on board for your use so be sure to bring foods and beverages that you enjoy. Reel Therapy is a ZERO tolerance vessel. All charters should be kept to three or less per boat. Note that only two anglers can effectively fly fish at one time.
